DONTICS AeroWave EndoSonic Activator is a lightweight, portable sonic irrigation activation system designed to enhance root canal cleaning through controlled fluid activation. Its flexible polymer tips are designed to navigate curved canals and reach apical regions, while four operating modes—High, Medium, Low and MTA—provide versatility for different clinical applications. The system operates within a stated frequency range of 40–250 Hz, with a 1000 mAh rechargeable battery providing up to 5 hours of continuous operation. The system is supplied/marketed with 60 working tips, available in #15/.02 × 22 mm and #35/.04 × 25 mm configurations.

Sonic activation
Uses sonic vibration to enhance irrigant fluid flow.
Designed to improve removal of biofilm and debris.
Facilitates more effective irrigant movement within the canal.

Flexible polymer tips
Flexible polymer construction.
Designed to navigate curved root canals.
Helps the tip reach the apical region while reducing the rigidity associated with conventional metal instruments.

Variable taper tip design
#15 .02 22 mm
#35 .04 25 mm

Four working modes
The device provides four operating modes:
High
Medium

Step 1 – Complete canal preparation
Prepare and shape the canal using your conventional rotary/reciprocating instrumentation protocol.
Step 2 – Irrigate
Fill the canal with the desired irrigating solution according to your established endodontic protocol.
Step 3 – Select the appropriate AeroWave tip
Choose the tip according to canal anatomy and preparation:
#15/.02 – 22 mm
#35/.04 – 25 mm
Step 4 – Insert the tip
Place the flexible polymer tip passively into the irrigant-filled canal.
Avoid binding or forcing the tip into the canal.
Step 5 – Activate
Select one of the available modes:
Low → Medium → High
depending on the clinical requirement and manufacturer's recommended protocol.
Step 6 – Activate the irrigant
Allow sonic vibration to produce fluid movement within the canal. The objective is to enhance irrigant exchange and disruption of debris/biofilm.
Step 7 – Replenish irrigant
After activation, evacuate the irrigant/debris and replenish with fresh irrigant as required by your irrigation protocol.
Step 8 – Final irrigation
Perform your final irrigation sequence according to your preferred endodontic protocol.
